Cesar Carvalho
Co-Founder & CEO
Based out of Gympass’ headquarters in New York, Cesar oversees worldwide operations implementing the company’s overall strategy. With more than ten years of business management experience under his belt, Cesar previously worked at top firms including CVC, McKinsey & Company and AC Nielsen. Originally hailing from Minas Gerais in Brazil, Cesar attended Harvard Business School before dropping out to found Gympass. His favorite activity on Gympass is HIIT.
Livia Martini
Chief Human Resources Officer
Livia joined the Gympass team in 2017 as the Head of International Operations. In her current role as CHRO, she oversees a global, strategic HR function at Gympass leveraging a wealth of experience in people management and financial operations. Prior to working at Gympass, Livia worked in management consulting after receiving an MBA from Harvard. She started her professional career in investment banking at Banco Santander, with a special focus on M&A and structured operations for private banking clients.
Bruno Annicq
Chief Financial Officer
Bruno is the Chief Financial Officer at Gympass. Bruno has extensive experience at global organizations across a variety of areas, including finance, investor relations, operations, business process automation, and business intelligence. Prior to joining Gympass, he held leadership roles at Kaseya, AOL’s Platform Business, and McKinsey across Europe and the US. Bruno holds a Master in Civil Engineering from Ghent University in Belgium and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
Marco Crespo
Chief Commercial Officer
Marco has served in multiple leadership roles across the company and is currently responsible for the company's commercial operations across all regions. Marco has over 10 years of executive experience, having worked for companies such as the Boston Consulting Group, Procter & Gamble and Ayrton Senna Foundation. He has a degree in Electrical Engineering from UNICAMP and an MBA from Harvard Business School. Marco is an enthusiast for entrepreneurship and enjoys triathlon training, playing tennis and squash.
Ellen Hochberg
General Counsel
As General Counsel, Ellen works closely with the global team as well as internal and external counsel to ensure that the company is operating well within the parameters of local and global law. Prior to joining Gympass, Ellen was the General Counsel at Aaptiv. She has held roles at the Princeton Review, Warner Music Group, and Sony Music Entertainment. In addition to a JD from Harvard Law School, Ellen holds a Bachelor’s degree from Yale University.
Claudio Franco
Chief Marketing Officer
Claudio Franco is the Chief Marketing Officer at Gympass. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Claudio Franco worked at Roland Berger - a multinational consulting company - carrying out Strategy and Restructure projects for clients in the financial, consumer goods and energy sectors, among others. At 27, he made his first career change when he started working as a product and marketing leader at Mind Lab, an Israeli startup focusing on thinking/strategy games.
Rogerio Hirose
SVP, New Business
Rogerio Hirose Senior Vice President of New Business at Gympass. After 19 years in large international companies like Accenture, Redwood Capital, and McKinsey, Rogerio joined Gympass in 2019 to lead the new business area. The New Business team manages new products and initiatives, continuing to bring innovative solutions to the Gympass ecosystem. Rogerio holds degrees from USP and Columbia Business School.
Thiago Pessoa
SVP, Global Sales
Thiago Pessoa is Senior Vice President of Global Sales and leads strategic initiatives to support the global commercial operation. Thiago joined Gympass in 2013 and was responsible for expanding the operation of Gympass in Europe in 2015. Prior to Gympass, Thiago developed his career in large companies in Latin America such as CVC and Easynvest and in 2010, was co-founder of Agrupe, a technology start-up.
Victor Ribeiro
EVP Product Management
As Executive Vice President of Product Management at Gympass, Victor leads the company’s product and engineering teams. He was Founder and CEO at Flaner, where he was lucky to get his hands dirty and code again after years in tech leadership at companies like Google, Universo Online, and Brazil Online. Victor founded his first start-up back in 1998, Miner - an early Brazilian search engine. He is a member and founder of and tries as much as possible to push forward entrepreneurs and high tech startups.
Gustavo Ramos
Chief of Staff
Gustavo Ramos is the Chief of Staff at Gympass. In this role, Gustavo works closely with Cesar and the entire executive team creating scalable business strategies to foster the company's growth. Prior to joining Gympass, Gustavo was the US CEO at Gett, a leading ground travel platform for businesses. He has also held a CEO position at Bombril and Mectron - Odebrecht Group. Gustavo received an Engineering degree from University of Toronto and an MBA from Columbia Business School.

What’s the vibe like in the office?

Gympass is a high energy, fast-paced and incredibly flexible environment. It's always motivating to look around and see different teams accomplishing goals that once seemed so far off. What's the biggest problem your team is solving?

The biggest problem my team solves daily is how to provide the greatest client experience around. We are constantly asking ourselves "How do we build a relationship that is strong and memorable each and every day?" We are our greatest competition - and it is a joy to show up every day to compete against ourselves as a team.
